Frequently Asked Questions ?

How easy is it to get permits for filming/fixers in Spain?

Getting permits differs from city to city, but it’s better to note that historical landmarks can be a costly affair and the fee must be paid in advance. As there’s no citywide permit in Madrid, the process of issuing the permit varies between 3 days – two weeks, depending on whether the shoot requires exclusive use of a public property. If you wish to shoot in Barcelona, permits can take from 5 days to two weeks.

Do I need a visa or work permit?

Visa isn’t required for the residents of the European country. It’s advisable for all other continents to contact us directly or your local Spanish embassy for more information.

Can I hire equipment once there?

Yes, you can hire the equipment locally. You can find not just the standard but also specialized equipment. Even if you cannot find your desired piece of equipment locally, you can easily get it from the major European production centers.

What is the climate like?

Most of Spain enjoys a mild climate except for the Pyrenees. This climate not only attracts a huge number of tourists but the filmmakers as well. The best months to visit are from April to October, although July and August are excessively hot.
